I'm not sure if these were ever made available to the general public, or whether this is just something that happened to make it out of the factory by an employee. There is nothing on the wrapper indicating that these uncut sheets could be purchased by collectors which probably accounts for the fact that this is the only uncut Fleer baseball sticker puzzle sheet I've seen.
I have not seen any uncut sheets with the 1978 set puzzle, but the search continues...

ReplyDeleteOne thing not mentioned in these photos, but compared to the 1977 and 1978 set is that the Kansas City Roayls logo sticker changed slighly. The older issues used the same logo that was in the patches set which displayed "ROYALS" in all capital letters under the crowed home plate. The 1979 sticker is changed slightly with the same crowned home plate, the only thing that is changed it that "Royals" is now in its familiar script (albeit it a gold color) rather than previous serifed typeface.
